About American Veterans Day and Bronze Military Sculpture
Veterans Day evolved from the Armistice Day of the First World War on November 11. After the end of World War I in 1919, Americans celebrated, as usual, every year. On June 1, 1954, U.S. President Eisenhower signed a bill of Congress to rename Armistice Day to Veterans’ Day and expand the significance of the memorial to pay tribute to all veterans.
