Outdoor Giant Standing Camel Statue BOKK-390

This 5.18-meter-high camel statue is called “Camel Sarah” and was completed in October 1978. It was designed by George Barone of Winnipeg to promote Glenborough and commemorate the nearby Spirit Sands area. The Arabian dromedary stands tall, supporting his huge body on his hind legs and facing forward. There is a hump covered with short hair on the camel’s back. The whole very realistic display of the camel’s appearance.

Spirit Sands is the only place in Manitoba with sand dunes, covering four square kilometers of Spruce Grove Provincial Park. The statue was divided into two parts, transported from Winnipeg to Glenborough by flatbed truck, and reassembled upon arrival.
